Mattie Gainer and Caroline Hicks are graduates from Charlotte Latin School in Charlotte, North Carolina. As sophomores they began their service work for Glamour Girls in the Hemby Children's Hospital of Presbyterian Hospital. Their shared love for children allows them to create special relationships with each child they work with. In hopes of taking each child's mind off of his or her sickness or the sickness of their siblings, they give them special attention and pampering specific to their liking. Mattie and Caroline hope to continue this work in other local Charlotte hospitals and hospitality homes. Mattie is now a freshman at Elon University and Caroline is a freshman at Sourthern Methodist University.
